When was the last time the author of a book wrote a handwritten note to you on the first page of a book? In my case, it was from my esteemed peer, Christian Gartmann, who took the effort to conduct dozens of conversations and interviews with experts and victims and compiled everything he learned into one remarkable book, “Krisenmanagement – neu fokussiert” (so far, in German only).
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲: 𝗣𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 – 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲, 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘀’ 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲.

Many books have been written on crises; here is one that I truly recommend. If you are considering buying only one book on the subject this year, this is my recommendation.
It was a pleasure to have an exchange with 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻, share my insights from 25 years in aviation, travel and tourism and contribute to the value of this book. Being featured in chapter 13 ( 😱 ) of this book is just a fine irony for someone who experienced most crises and incidents in his life neither on Fridays nor on the 13th of the month 🔮 … 😉
